This senior role is responsible for ensuring that the investments made by the Foundation are both impactful and professional, while serving as the primary gatekeeper of the Foundation’s grants mission, through maintaining mission integrity, data driven decision making, and offering insight and guidance to Foundation leadership on new needs and opportunities; at the same time, this role focuses on leading and inspiring a multidisciplinary team of grant managers, overseeing the grant lifecycle, ensuring quality control and professional development of the team, while maintaining relationships with grantees and stakeholders, serving as a guide, negotiator and problem solver in complex educational, political or financial situations with international grantees, and creating opportunities for professional enrichment of grantee leadership alongside professional educational mentoring and guidance.

Review grant applications and proposals from French and Spanish speaking countries; manage the grant application process from start to finish, including tracking deadlines, reviewing budgets, and coordinating with internal teams; evaluate grantee reports for compliance and impact assessment; conduct site visits to grantees overseas; ongoing communication and relationship with grantees to guide, assist and ensure alignment with the Foundation’s vision and goals.

Strategy, management and responsibility for all fundraising activities, utilizing a broad potential donor base in the United States and Israel; direct fundraising through personal solicitations and other avenues, working in tandem with the Executive Director and senior staff; position requires overseas travel.

Grant and report writing in English and in Hebrew.

Writing grant proposals and donor reports in English in the field of Public Health Research.

This is a public leadership role focused upon leadership, strategy, fundraising, and donor relationships, while serving as an articulate spokesperson and representative for the organization both in Israel and overseas. The position is supported by an active COO who is responsible for team oversight, financial management and operations, leaving the CEO free to focus upon public leadership, strategic partnerships, and achieving fundraising goals.

The Executive Director role is a public leadership position within the Conservative / Masorti movement. This position focuses on leadership, strategy, fundraising, and global relationships, while serving as an articulate spokesperson and senior representative for Masorti Judaism globally, articulating a clear, consistent vision across diverse regions and cultures.
In collaboration with the President and Board, the Executive Director will guide the organization towards accomplishing strategic and financial goals, using responsible, accountable and transparent metrics; will strengthen and cultivate new and emerging Masorti communities, partnerships and lay leadership worldwide; and will formulate and execute a fundraising strategy to increase donor impact and engagement both internationally and within Israel’s national institutions. S/he will strengthen collaboration within the movement’s institutions and programs, and provide ongoing direction, leadership and supervision to the Israel and international staff and partners.

Formulate and implement development strategy in partnership with senior leadership; solicit and steward major donors, with a focus on the United States, including relationship and giving development with existing partners and donors as well as development of new avenues of support; this position is supported by a professional development team; the role requires frequent travel overseas.
